English version of the Modball Rally 2007 report.

Day 1 -- London - Dover - Calais - Amsterdam

It was worth the waiting, and around 8pm CET the first cars entered The Netherlands via the motorway A16, nine hours after their departure from London. Not everybody was as much in a hurry, as we saw a BMW 740i pass with the same speed as a Citroën 2CV one minute earlier.

Most of them however had found the pedal and it was hard for us to catch up with them.

Eventually we decided to drive along woth a number of competitors to their hotel. As we arrived at the Osdorp Tulip Inn, a line up of beautiful cars was already waiting for us.

Day 2 -- Amsterdam - Cologne

After the arrival of all competitors in the late evening on June 10, the motorcade left Amsterdam after a tough night of partying, to set off for Cologne in Germany. It was planned to be a rolling start, but this was not very clear for everyone, not last of all because the organization had not been very clear about where and from which side of the difficult for cars to reach Central Station should be started.

Because of this little choas, the streets in the centre of Amsterdam stayed filled with the fastest and most beautiful cars driving the challenge. This gave us the opportunity the make the best shots of every car.

Unfortunately later on the day, almost all cars were stopped by the Autobahnpolizei on the German motorway A3. Their cars were seized and after paying a very high fee, the cars would be given back to theirs owners, provided they would leave the country. In the late eveing of June 11, the Modball Rally 2007 was cancelled and everybody asked to come home again. Only six cars had already reached their hotel before the actions of the German police, but they also had to go home again.
